Mykonos<\/b> is a Greek island<\/a> of the Cyclades<\/a>, located in the vicinity of Tinos<\/a>, Syros<\/a>, Paros<\/a> and Naxos.<\/a> It has an area of 96 km\u00b2 and its highest point reaches 341 m above sea level. At the 2001 census it had 9,320 inhabitants, mostly residing in the town of Mykonos<\/a> (also known as Chora<\/i>), which lies on the west coast.<\/p>\n

From an administrative point of view, the island is part of the southern Aegean<\/a> periphery<\/a> and consists of the only municipality of Mykonos, whose territory also extends to the nearby islands of Delos<\/a>, Rineia<\/a> as well as numerous uninhabited islets, for a total of 105.2 km\u00b2 of area.<\/p>\n
